XPeng's Robotaxi Service 'XPENG YOYO' Approved for L4 Operations in Guangzhou

XPeng has officially secured the L4-grade intelligent connected vehicle application demonstration operation qualification in Guangzhou for its Robotaxi fleet, named 'XPENG YOYO'. This allows the company to conduct regional Robotaxi demonstration operations across the entire area of Guangzhou. This milestone marks a critical step forward in XPeng's commercial autonomous driving strategy, transitioning from closed testing to authorized public demonstration operations. It positions the company closer to its goal of achieving driverless commercial operations. XPeng's Robotaxi vehicles are pre-production models equipped with the company's second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) technology. The company aims to introduce safety-driver-free passenger operations by next year.
