Xiaomi Unveils Xuanjie O3 Flagship AI SoC Debuting in Xiaomi 18 Fold
Xiaomi has officially launched the Xuanjie O3, a flagship AI SoC featuring a 10-core all-big-core CPU, G2-Ultra NX GPU, and support for LPDDR6 memory. The chip will debut in the Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable smartphone and the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max in September. The Xuanjie O3 marks a major milestone for Xiaomi's in-house chip design, achieving record-breaking benchmark scores and introducing the industry's first mobile support for the next-generation LPDDR6 memory standard. This deep integration of AI across all processing units positions Xiaomi to deliver highly optimized, on-device large language model capabilities. The SoC delivers 200 TOPS of tensor computing power via its reconstructed NPU and integrates dual Arm SME2 acceleration units in the CPU alongside 8 NX neural network accelerators in the GPU. It achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score of 5.22 million, making it the first flagship SoC to surpass the 5 million mark.
## BACKGROUND
Xiaomi entered the high-end custom silicon market with its first self-developed 3nm mobile SoC, the Xuanjie O1, in mid-2025. Arm's Scalable Matrix Extension 2 (SME2) is an instruction set extension designed to accelerate matrix-heavy computations, which are crucial for running advanced AI models directly on mobile CPUs.
