Xiaomi Unveils Next-Gen Xuanjie Chips Following 21 Billion RMB R&D Investment

Xiaomi has officially launched its next-generation Xuanjie chips, including the O3 flagship SoC, the O100 AI accelerator, and the D100 3nm smart driving AI chip. CEO Lei Jun revealed that the company has invested over 21 billion RMB over five years and built a team of nearly 3,000 experts to support this self-developed chip initiative. This milestone marks a significant step in Xiaomi's strategy to build its own hardware-level AI computing foundation, reducing reliance on external chipmakers. The new chips will power Xiaomi's entire "Human x Car x Home" ecosystem, from flagship smartphones to autonomous vehicles. The Xuanjie O3 SoC has entered mass production and will debut on the Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable phone, while the O100 and D100 chips have completed verification and are scheduled for commercial use next year. All three chips serve as the physical foundation for Xiaomi's cross-device AI strategy.

## BACKGROUND

Xiaomi established Shanghai Xuanjie Technology in 2021 to restart its self-developed mobile SoC efforts. In May 2025, Xiaomi released its first-generation 3nm flagship SoC, the Xuanjie O1, which was built on Arm architecture and integrated into the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad7 series.
