Xiaomi President Lu Weibing announced that the Mi Home smart ecosystem will transition to 'proactive intelligence' over the next decade, moving beyond reactive voice and app controls. Xiaomi previewed upcoming hardware—including smart TVs, range hoods, door locks, and robot vacuums—integrated with vision LLMs, millimeter-wave radar, and custom Xring chips. This initiative represents an evolution in consumer IoT from simple remote execution to context-aware, autonomous smart home automation. By integrating multimodal AI models with localized sensor hardware, Xiaomi aims to enable devices to anticipate user needs and take preventative actions automatically. Featured devices include the TV S Pro RGB-Mini LED with millimeter-wave radar for position-aware picture tuning, the Smart Range Hood 3 Max with vision LLMs for real-time smoke and spill monitoring, and the Robot Vacuum 7 Max. Xiaomi reported over 18 billion RMB spent on R&D in H1, with its MiMo LLM surpassing one trillion token invocations and global IoT connections exceeding 1.1 billion.
