Xiaomi Launches Smart Camera 4 Max AI Zoom Edition with Dual-Camera Setup
Xiaomi has launched the Smart Camera 4 Max AI Zoom Edition in China for 799 RMB. The device features a dual-camera system with a 12MP telephoto lens and an 8MP wide-angle lens, alongside a 3 TOPS AI chip running Xiaomi's AI Caretaking Large Model. This release highlights the integration of edge-AI capabilities and large models into consumer smart home cameras, enabling more complex behavior analysis like monitoring children's study habits. It also strengthens Xiaomi's smart home ecosystem through HyperOS Connect integration. The camera supports 3x lossless zoom, 12x hybrid zoom, and features a gimbal with 360-degree horizontal and 180-degree vertical rotation. It is equipped with 10 infrared fill lights for night vision and supports automatic focusing.

Hybrid zoom combines optical zoom and digital zoom using software algorithms to merge details from multiple lenses, such as telephoto and wide-angle sensors, to produce clearer zoomed-in images.
