Xiaomi Announces Xuanjie O3 Flagship AI SoC with 10-Core All-Large-Core CPU

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xuanjie O3, a flagship AI SoC featuring a 10-core all-large-core CPU, the new G2-Ultra NX GPU, and support for the next-generation LPDDR6 memory standard. It is the first mobile processor to surpass 5 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark, delivering a 60% CPU performance boost and an 85% GPU performance increase. This release marks a significant milestone in Xiaomi's in-house chip design capabilities, showcasing its ability to compete directly with top-tier mobile silicon providers. The heavy integration of AI accelerators across all processing units reflects the industry's shift toward running complex, on-device AI models locally. The SoC features a reconstructed NPU delivering 200TOPS of tensor performance optimized for Xiaomi's MiMo on-device large language models. Additionally, it incorporates dual ARM SME2 units in the CPU, eight NX neural network accelerators in the GPU, and achieves an industry-leading 82ns static latency.

## BACKGROUND

ARM's Scalable Matrix Extension 2 (SME2) is an instruction set extension designed to accelerate matrix-heavy computations directly on CPUs, which is crucial for mobile AI workloads. Meanwhile, LPDDR6 is the upcoming low-power memory standard designed to provide the higher bandwidth and efficiency required by next-generation AI-driven mobile devices.
