Xiaomi Announces 'Legendary Moment' AI Image Model for Xiaomi 18 Pro Series
Xiaomi announced that its upcoming 18 Pro series smartphones will debut the 'Legendary Moment' AI large model for photography. Trained on millions of sample shots using cloud-streamed sensor data, the feature aims to deliver realistic optical bokeh and rendering quality comparable to professional cameras. This launch highlights how smartphone makers are increasingly relying on cloud-trained generative AI and computational photography to overcome physical hardware constraints. It reflects an industry-wide push to emulate the rendering, dynamic range, and color science of high-end dedicated cameras purely through software algorithms. The Xiaomi 18 Pro series features a Leica dual 200MP camera system, including a 1/1.56-inch periscope telephoto lens with a native 75mm focal length and 12cm macro capabilities. Powered by a 2nm flagship mobile processor, the device also includes an ultra-narrow 0.99mm display bezel and a high-density silicon battery.
