Xiaomi Announces Deprecation Timeline for MiMo-V2.5 AI Models in Favor of V2.6

Xiaomi has announced a deprecation schedule for its MiMo-V2.5 and MiMo-V2.5-Pro AI models, instructing developers to transition to the upgraded MiMo-V2.6-Flash and MiMo-V2.6-Pro models. Automatic request forwarding to V2.6 will begin on October 14, 2026, followed by complete sunsetting of the legacy model names on October 21, 2026. This transition provides developers with improved reasoning performance and multimodal capabilities while maintaining the exact same API pricing structure as the previous generation. It underscores Xiaomi's push to deliver competitive, cost-effective native multimodal foundation models to the AI developer ecosystem. Under the migration plan, `mimo-v2.5-pro` maps to `mimo-v2.6-pro` and `mimo-v2.5` maps to `mimo-v2.6-flash`. API pricing for V2.6 remains at 1 RMB input / 2 RMB output per million tokens for Flash and 3 RMB input / 6 RMB output for Pro, alongside prompt caching discounts up to 99%.
