XHEART Launches X7 Ultra Autonomous Driving Chip with 700 TOPS Compute
XHEART has officially released the X7 Ultra autonomous driving large model chip, delivering 700 TOPS of AI compute and featuring China's first mass-produced Armv9 automotive-grade CPU. This launch marks a significant shift in autonomous driving hardware design, moving from traditional multi-model architectures to end-to-end large models specifically tailored for real-world automotive demands. The chip achieves a 98.7% compute utilization rate, boasts a memory bandwidth consumption reduction of 80%, and integrates an SVE2 vector processing engine alongside a dedicated operator acceleration engine for Transformer models.
## BACKGROUND
End-to-end large models in autonomous driving process sensory inputs directly into driving actions using unified neural networks, replacing fragmented modular pipelines. Armv9 is the latest major CPU architecture iteration from Arm, bringing enhanced performance, security, and scalable vector extension capabilities (SVE2) suited for modern digital signal processing and machine learning tasks.
