Wujie Power CEO Predicts Embodied AI Will Match Human Labor in Five Years
Zhang Yufeng, founder and CEO of Wujie Power, predicted at the Yabuli Summer Summit that embodied AI will match the thinking and labor capabilities of an adult human within five years. He also noted that humanoid and semi-humanoid robots could enter households within two to three years by focusing on three to five core high-frequency tasks. This roadmap highlights how robotics companies are shifting focus from immediate full autonomy to practical, incremental deployment around specific home tasks. By drawing parallels to autonomous driving in 2019, the prediction offers a pragmatic timeline for when humanoid robots might transition from lab prototypes to viable consumer products. Zhang emphasized that early household adoption does not require full general intelligence, but rather mastery of a few killer applications such as loading dishwashers or sorting laundry. He previously served as Vice President at Horizon Robotics, where he led autonomous driving business development and commercial automotive AI chip deployments.
