vivo Opens App Store Channel for Individual Developers
At the vivo Developer Conference, vivo announced the launch of an individual developer channel on its App Store. Real-name verified individuals will now be able to publish AI, BlueOS, and IoT applications on the platform. As AI tools lower the technical barriers to software development, opening store access to solo creators helps expand vivo's ecosystem across smart wearables, IoT, and AI applications. It enables independent developers to distribute their software directly without needing to register a corporate entity. Developers only need to complete personal real-name authentication to submit their software to the store. vivo plans an orderly rollout covering AI applications, BlueOS software, and IoT device apps.
## BACKGROUND
BlueOS is an operating system developed by vivo designed to power a wide range of devices, including smart wearables and IoT equipment. Historically, many app ecosystems enforced strict enterprise registration requirements, creating hurdles for solo developers looking to release small-scale apps.
