vivo Announces Xiao V Cowork for Cross-Device AI Agent Control
At its Developer Conference, vivo launched "Xiao V Cowork," an application enabling users to initiate and manage PC-side AI agent tasks directly from their mobile phones. Additionally, the company revealed research progress on an on-device 30B Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) model tailored for smartphones. This development highlights the shift toward seamless cross-device task automation, turning mobile phones into mobile command hubs for desktop AI workloads. Furthermore, bringing a 30B MoE model to mobile hardware showcases significant progress in local multi-modal reasoning and privacy-focused computing. The experimental 30B MoE model is designed to support advanced multimodal understanding, cross-domain long-chain reasoning, and autonomous task execution on mobile devices. Alongside Xiao V Cowork, vivo also previewed its updated OriginOS 7 and BlueOS 4 platforms.
## BACKGROUND
Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) is an AI architecture that activates only a small fraction of its total parameters for each input task, drastically cutting computation costs while maintaining high performance. This efficiency makes large models far more practical to execute within the strict hardware and battery constraints of mobile devices.
