VAIO Introduces World's First PC with Built-in Blood Vessel and Heart Rate Measurement
VAIO has announced that its upcoming SX14-R (VJS4R2) laptop will feature built-in, non-contact blood vessel and heart rate measurement. The system utilizes the laptop's webcam and AI sensing technology via the VAIO WellnessCare software. This integration marks a shift towards embedding health and wellness monitoring directly into everyday consumer PC hardware without requiring external wearables. It highlights how manufacturers are leveraging AI and built-in cameras to expand the utility of personal computers. The technology detects the user's face and retrieves cardiovascular data in just 3 seconds, automatically logging the information on the PC. The laptop model is expected to be powered by Intel's 3rd-generation Core Ultra "Panther Lake" processors.
