UGREEN Launches HomeAgent AIoT Hubs Powered by Up to NVIDIA Jetson Thor

UGREEN announced its entry into the AIoT market at IFA with the HomeAgent series, a line of local smart home hubs integrating storage, edge computing, and device management. The lineup ranges from the entry-level HA100 powered by a Rockchip RK3588 to the flagship MasterAgent MA100 equipped with NVIDIA's Jetson Thor T5000 platform. This launch highlights a strong industry shift toward high-performance local AI computing within smart home hardware, decreasing reliance on the cloud to boost privacy and lower latency. Combining server-grade hardware with Matter protocol support allows consumer smart home systems to handle complex physical AI automation tasks locally. The flagship MasterAgent MA100 features 128GB of LPDDR5X memory, 256GB NVMe SSD storage, 10GbE networking, and 4 GbE PoE ports at a pre-order price of $9,999. The series supports the Matter protocol for cross-brand device compatibility and will launch on Kickstarter on October 27.

## BACKGROUND

The Matter protocol is an open-source connectivity standard designed to enable seamless local communication between smart home devices across different ecosystems. Meanwhile, NVIDIA Jetson Thor is an advanced edge AI hardware platform built on the Blackwell GPU architecture, delivering high FP4/FP8 compute performance for physical AI and generative workloads.
