UBTECH and Medical System Launch China's First Bionic Medical Humanoid Robot

UBTECH and Medical System have launched the Youmai Robot (Health & Care Edition), China's first bionic medical humanoid robot available in customizable male and female physical appearances. The system combines full-scale humanoid hardware with clinical medical AI to assist in elderly care and chronic disease management. This development addresses two major challenges in eldercare: the lack of specialized medical expertise at home and the absence of empathetic human interaction. It highlights how robotics and specialized medical AI can scale standardized chronic disease management for rapidly aging demographics. Built on UBTECH's full-scale humanoid platform, the robot features facial micro-expression modules and multi-degree-of-freedom limbs to facilitate natural patient interaction. Its software embeds Medical System's Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) tool covering 10 core dimensions, with plans to add multimodal diagnostic assistance within three years.
