Tenstorrent Secures $1.5 Billion Series E Funding at $6.2 Billion Valuation
RISC-V AI computing company Tenstorrent has completed a $1.5 billion Series E funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to $6.2 billion. The round was led by Trace Capital and Innovation X, with participation from several new and existing investors. This massive funding injection highlights strong investor confidence in alternative AI hardware architectures and open instruction set architectures like RISC-V, challenging traditional hardware monopolies. The capital will enable Tenstorrent to accelerate its large-scale mass production and global commercial expansion. Led by renowned semiconductor designer Jim Keller, the company previously completed its D轮 (Series D) funding round in late 2024 at a post-money valuation of approximately $2.7 billion. The newly acquired funds will be specifically directed toward supporting mass production and international business growth.
