Tencent has launched a standalone file browser for its AI office assistant, WorkBuddy, allowing users to open local files via system context menus and process them in dedicated windows using AI. This update streamlines AI-assisted document workflows by removing the friction of manually uploading or copy-pasting local files into AI chat interfaces. It integrates multi-agent AI directly into everyday file formats such as Word, Excel, PPT, PDF, Markdown, and HTML. The file browser supports tabbed navigation where switching document tabs automatically shifts the corresponding AI conversation context. Users can request inline edits or task generation (such as building web reports from Excel data), with changes saved directly back to local disk files.
