Tencent WorkBuddy Expands to Domestic Chinese Operating Systems Kylin OS and UOS
Tencent WorkBuddy, an AI Agent productivity workspace, has officially launched on major Chinese domestic desktop operating systems, including Kylin OS, Unity Operating System (UOS), openKylin, and deepin. This expansion allows Tencent WorkBuddy to cover mainstream Chinese domestic operating system ecosystems alongside HarmonyOS. It supports China's drive for software self-reliance by bringing native AI-powered office tools to civil servants and enterprise desktop users. Rather than performing simple code migration, Tencent collaborated with OS developers to execute native-level optimizations across authentication, cross-device interaction, smart skill execution, and task result previews. Users can install WorkBuddy directly from native app stores without extra configuration, and new accounts receive 2,000 free usage points.
## BACKGROUND
Tencent WorkBuddy is an AI Agent tool designed for daily office tasks, code development, and content creation, capable of autonomously planning and executing complex multi-step workflows. Kylin OS and Unity Operating System (UOS) are Linux distributions heavily supported in China as domestic alternatives to Windows and macOS for government and enterprise environments.
