Tencent Updates Yuanbao AI App with Simultaneous Photo-Audio Capture and Ecosystem Integration
Tencent has updated its Yuanbao AI assistant app to version 2.85.0, significantly upgrading its built-in "AI Voice Recorder" feature. The update introduces simultaneous photo capture during audio recording, internal device sound recording, manual editing of transcripts, and seamless exports to Tencent Docs and WorkBuddy. This update streamlines note-taking during lectures and meetings by removing the friction of switching between photo, audio, and document applications. Furthermore, direct integration with Tencent Docs and WorkBuddy connects voice recording directly into corporate productivity and automated workflow tools. The new "record and capture" feature automatically merges real-time audio transcripts, AI summaries, and captured photos into a single unified record. Additionally, internal device recording allows users to capture clear audio from online video calls or lectures on phones and tablets without picking up external ambient noise.
## BACKGROUND
Yuanbao is Tencent's consumer-facing AI assistant app launched in May 2024 to provide document summarization, question answering, and content generation capabilities. WorkBuddy is Tencent's AI-native workplace agent designed to plan and execute complex multi-step office tasks, such as generating proposals and creating presentation slides.
