Tencent Map Unveils Agent Capability Panorama with Multi-Device Integration

At the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit, Tencent Map announced its Agent capability panorama and opened map Agent capabilities to enterprise customers, hardware, and developers. These capabilities have already been integrated into major assistants and devices like Tencent Yuanbao, WeChat Xiaowei, OPPO Xiaobu, and smart wearables. This development marks a significant industry shift toward embedding location-based AI agents directly into everyday software ecosystems and hardware, streamlining multi-step tasks like trip planning and ride-hailing into simple conversational commands. It enables developers and hardware manufacturers to quickly build spatial intelligence into their products without starting from scratch. Tencent Map also released LBSwork, a desktop AI map workspace for industries like retail and travel, and provides developer-friendly interfaces such as MCP Server, Agent Skills, and connectors via WorkBuddy. Notable integrations include an industry-first AI glasses native ride-hailing service with Rokid and cross-device flow capabilities within the OpenHarmony ecosystem.

## BACKGROUND

An AI agent is an autonomous software program powered by large language models that can independently pursue goals, plan actions, and interact with external tools and environments. Location-based services (LBS) leverage spatial data to provide geographical information and navigation, which when combined with AI agents, allow users to execute complex real-world tasks through natural language.
