Tencent Launches WorkBuddy Open Platform to Expand AI Agent Ecosystem
Tencent has officially launched the WorkBuddy Open Platform, opening its underlying AI Agent base capabilities to developers, smart hardware partners, and industry applications. The rollout features over 100 initial co-creation partners, debuting with 9 co-branded hardware products and more than 30 specialized industry applications. By making its agent platform accessible to third parties, Tencent aims to turn WorkBuddy into an operational infrastructure for the AI Agent era across work, hardware, and industry scenarios. This move accelerates the practical adoption of autonomous AI workflows in consumer electronics and enterprise software. Developers can register using individual or corporate credentials to create and manage skills, expert agents, connectors, and external application integrations. Partner hardware brands include Plaud, Rokid, Insta360, iFlytek, and Anker, spanning over 20 domain areas including finance, healthcare, law, and education.
