Tencent Launches WorkBuddy Education Edition Offering Free AI Credits for Teachers
Tencent SSV has launched the WorkBuddy Education Public Welfare Edition, offering teachers across China 2,000 free monthly AI credits for 12 consecutive months. The platform integrates over 100 educational expert AI tools developed in collaboration with top universities like Peking University and Beijing Normal University. This initiative aims to alleviate administrative burdens and enhance teaching quality for educators nationwide by democratizing access to advanced AI assistant tools. It reflects Tencent's ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts to integrate digital technology into foundational public sectors like education. Educators can apply through the Tencent SSV WeChat official account by verifying their teacher identity, with credits automatically replenished on the first of every month. The tool also provides creative teaching, lesson planning, and animation generation features, and will soon connect with Tencent Docs and ima knowledge bases.
## BACKGROUND
Tencent SSV, established in April 2021, focuses on leveraging technology and innovation to address social issues such as livelihood development and basic education. WorkBuddy is Tencent Cloud's all-scenario AI office workbench and assistant designed to handle daily office routines, documentation, and data analysis.
