Tencent Launches Preview Version of Yuanbao AI Assistant for HarmonyOS

Tencent has released a preview version (1.0.0.123) of its Yuanbao AI assistant app on Huawei's AppGallery for HarmonyOS users. The updated app supports Tencent's Hy4 preview and Hy3 models alongside DeepSeek models, offering fast response, deep thinking, and expert modes. The release highlights Tencent's commitment to expanding its native application support for Huawei's HarmonyOS ecosystem while bringing its latest flagship AI capabilities to mobile devices. It also strengthens Yuanbao's competitive edge by leveraging Tencent's proprietary content ecosystem, including WeChat Official Accounts and Video Channels. Key features include document reading for up to 36 file formats, real-time voice calls, camera-based photo translation with automatic language detection, and real-time trending topic search. The early access trial campaign runs from September 19, 2026, to October 19, 2026.
