Tencent Launches Beta Test for 'Dayuan' AI Assistant in Enterprise WeChat
Tencent has launched the beta test for "Dayuan," an integrated AI assistant for Enterprise WeChat (WeCom). Users can summon the assistant with a left swipe on mobile or via the sidebar on PC to summarize messages, draft replies, and access office tools. This integration represents a practical application of large language models (LLMs) in enterprise software, enhancing productivity by embedding context-aware AI directly into daily workflows. It also intensifies the competition among Chinese tech giants to lock users into their respective enterprise AI ecosystems. Reports indicate that Dayuan is built on DeepSeek's latest V4 model and can call upon dozens of WeCom features, such as smart documents, sheets, meetings, and schedules. It reads the active screen's context to generate weekly reports, prioritize unread messages, and draft structured replies without interrupting the user's workflow.
