Tencent Expands Hunyuan Hy4 Cluster 10x After Demand Surge
Following a massive surge in user demand on the WorkBuddy platform, Tencent expanded its Hunyuan Hy4 inference cluster by ten times and increased free user allowances. Additionally, the free tier for the older Hy3 model on WorkBuddy has been extended until November 15, 2026. This rapid infrastructure scaling highlights the immediate high adoption and heavy user load of Tencent's newly released Hunyuan Hy4 model. It reflects the broader industry challenge of balancing massive demand for advanced AI agents with high-performance computing constraints. Despite the tenfold cluster expansion, Tencent warned that high concurrent traffic may still cause occasional rate-limiting during peak hours, advising users to switch to Hy3 or use non-urgent features during off-peak night hours. The Hunyuan Hy4 model itself marks Tencent's entry into top-tier open-source models with newly added visual capabilities.
