Tencent Consolidates Workbuddy and QClaw AI Agent Product Teams
Tencent has adjusted its internal organization by moving the QClaw AI product team into Cloud Product Department VI, which is responsible for the Workbuddy AI agent. While the teams are being consolidated to align Tencent's AI office agent products, the QClaw product itself will continue to operate. This consolidation reflects Tencent's strategy to streamline its AI agent offerings and avoid internal competition between similar productivity tools. By combining resources, Tencent can accelerate the development of its cross-platform AI workspace ecosystem. QClaw, built on the open-source OpenClaw framework, allows users to manage files and execute tasks remotely via WeChat. Meanwhile, Workbuddy recently expanded its reach by launching dedicated mobile apps, including the first general AI agent application on Huawei's HarmonyOS.
