Tencent Cloud Open-Sources TeamAI for Git-Based AI Agent Skill Sharing

Tencent Cloud has open-sourced TeamAI, an internal Git-native CLI tool that enables teams to manage, version-control, and share AI agent skills, rules, and configurations across 16 popular AI tools including Claude Code, Cursor, and CodeBuddy. The tool unifies AI configurations inside standard Git repositories so team members can review, update, and reuse assets seamlessly. As enterprise developers adopt diverse AI agents, maintaining consistent prompts, workflows, and tool configurations across engineering teams has become a key challenge. By treating AI configurations like code, TeamAI allows team administrators to enforce security rules, standardize model choices, and instantly propagate new agent skills across the entire team. TeamAI leverages Git pull requests for skill reviews and relies on agent session startup hooks to pull updates automatically when developers launch new chats. It also integrates with Tencent Cloud's ClawPro platform and automatically prompts developers at the end of sessions to document and archive troubleshooting knowledge into team repositories.

## BACKGROUND

AI coding agents depend on contextual system prompts, custom instructions, and integrations such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to perform specific software engineering tasks. Git is the standard version control system used by software engineers to track changes, review code, and collaborate on shared codebases.
