Tata Communications to Deploy 10,000km of AI-Ready Fiber in India

Tata Communications announced plans on October 26 to invest between $400 million and $450 million to deploy 10,000 kilometers of new long-distance fiber across India. This infrastructure aims to build an AI-ready, high-speed, and low-latency network corridor connecting major AI data centers. This massive investment addresses critical data transmission bottlenecks required for scaling modern AI applications and computing workloads in India. By improving connectivity between key coastal and inland hubs, it positions India as a stronger player in the global AI infrastructure landscape.
