Smart Home Startup Habitat Secures 700 Million RMB in Series A Funding
Smart home startup Habitat, founded by former Li Auto president Shen Yanan, has raised 700 million RMB in a Series A funding round led by the Changzhou Xinbei District Sci-Tech Innovation Fund. The funding will support the establishment of its new AI smart home global headquarters and R&D facilities in Changzhou. This massive investment highlights the growing convergence of automotive-grade supply chain expertise, PropTech, and AI in the residential sector. It signals a strong venture capital interest in applying embodied AI and advanced design systems to revolutionize modern living spaces. The capital will be allocated towards building an embodied AI laboratory and developing production-grade AI design and delivery systems. Habitat has already established direct operations in seven major Chinese cities, achieving an annual contract value exceeding 1 billion RMB.
