Shanxi Releases China's First Urban Parking AI Agent Named 'Boling'
Shanxi has introduced China's first urban parking AI agent, named 'Boling', which integrates real-time data to automate parking space planning, dynamic pricing, and navigation. Developed by the Shanxi Construction Investment Static Traffic Company, it was showcased at the 2026 China Urban Parking Industry Conference. This deployment demonstrates a practical, measurable application of AI agents in urban management to solve urban parking bottlenecks. It significantly improves resource utilization, increasing daily turnover rates and cutting labor costs for parking operators. Field tests show that the 'Boling' AI agent increases the average daily turnover rate of parking spaces from 2.1 to 3.5 times while reducing comprehensive labor costs per space by 60% to 70%. Moving forward, regional authorities plan to open up platform resources and interfaces to allow third-party enterprises to join the collaborative network.
