The organizing committee announced that the 2027 Shanghai Auto Show will take place from April 23 to May 2, 2027, with an estimated exhibition area of 400,000 square meters. The event will introduce a dedicated Embodied AI exhibition section to highlight real-world applications of physical AI and advanced automotive chips. Integrating embodied AI and physical AI into a premier automotive expo reflects the growing convergence of robotics, artificial intelligence, and smart mobility. It highlights the transformation of the automotive sector from traditional vehicle manufacturing to advanced intelligent manufacturing. To maintain industry balance, organizers reaffirmed the established tradition of alternating comprehensive auto shows between Shanghai in odd years and Beijing in even years. Consequently, a scheduled Beijing event in March 2027 will be formatted as a specialized thematic show rather than competing directly as a full comprehensive auto exhibition.
