SAIC Roewe Opens Pre-Sales for Jiayue 07 SUV Featuring Doubao AI Assistant

SAIC Roewe has officially opened pre-sales for the Jiayue 07 extended-range SUV starting at 137,800 RMB (~$19,500 USD). It is the first vehicle in the industry to debut ByteDance's integrated Doubao AI cockpit assistant alongside Momenta's R7 world model autonomous driving software. The launch highlights the aggressive push to integrate generative AI and large language models (LLMs) into mass-market vehicles at competitive price points. It also demonstrates how tech giants like ByteDance, through Volcano Engine, are rapidly commercializing AI software backbones for the automotive industry. The SUV delivers a CLTC pure electric range of 320 km and a total range of 1,480 km, with 15-minute fast charging (30%-80%). Inside, the Doubao assistant supports humanoid facial avatars, FaceID profile memory, multi-person continuous voice interaction, dialect support, and full-vehicle feature control.
