SAIC Roewe Jiayue 07 Pre-Orders Exceed 30,000 Units in Two Weeks

SAIC Roewe announced that pre-orders for its Jiayue 07 SUV surpassed 30,000 units within two weeks of launching pre-sales starting at 137,800 yuan (~$19,600). The vehicle is the industry's first to feature ByteDance's Doubao Cockpit Assistant for advanced AI voice interaction. This milestone highlights the growing trend of automotive manufacturers embedding consumer-facing large language models (LLMs) directly into smart cockpits to gain a competitive edge in China's EV market. It also demonstrates strong consumer demand for extended-range electric vehicles offering high-end AI features at accessible price points. The Jiayue 07 uses an EREV powertrain delivering a 320 km CLTC pure electric range and a 1,480 km combined range, with fast charging from 30% to 80% in 15 minutes. Its smart driving technology integrates the Momenta R7 world model and an XHEART X7 AI chip, supporting automated parking in tight spots with single-side margins as narrow as 20 cm.
