SAIC MG 07 Sedan Pre-Orders Exceed 21,000 Units in 20 Hours
SAIC MG announced that pre-orders for its new MG 07 sedan surpassed 21,000 units within 20 hours of opening, doubling the pre-order rate of the MG 4. The vehicle starts at 125,900 RMB and is the first model to feature Momenta's R7 world-model driving-assistance system. This milestone highlights the growing demand for affordable electric vehicles equipped with advanced AI driving capabilities in the Chinese market. It also marks the commercial debut of Momenta's physical AI technology, positioning MG to compete more aggressively with advanced driver-assistance systems like Tesla's FSD. The MG 07 is powered by the Xheart X7 AI chip and features a roof-mounted LiDAR to support Level 2+ urban navigation. It offers two range variants (600+ km and 845 km) and is equipped with a Snapdragon 8295P infotainment chip.
## BACKGROUND
Momenta is an autonomous driving company that developed the R7 World Model, which utilizes reinforcement learning to understand physical properties and causal relationships in driving environments. The MG 07 represents a collaboration to bring this "Physical AI" concept into mass-produced consumer vehicles.
