Rokid to Launch Next-Gen AI Smart Glasses on September 24

AR hardware maker Rokid announced it will officially release its next-generation Leqi AI smart glasses on September 24 at the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou, China. The company is debuting the device under the slogan "Less tool. More human." The announcement reflects the ongoing race among hardware manufacturers to combine generative AI capabilities with lightweight augmented reality (AR) wearables. As consumer demand grows for hands-free AI assistants, products like Rokid's next-gen glasses push the boundary toward more natural, everyday human-computer interaction. While specific upgrades for the new model remain undisclosed until the event, the previous generation featured a Qualcomm AR1 SoC, binocular Micro LED displays with diffractive optical waveguides (1,500 nits brightness and 30° FOV), a 12MP camera, 2 speakers, and 4 microphones.
