Reddit Reportedly Discontinuing RSS Feed Support on November 13th

Reddit is reportedly planning to discontinue its RSS feed support on November 13th, further restricting content access for external tools. This change follows other recent platform restrictions, such as forcing users to log in to view content. This development makes it significantly harder for developers and users to integrate Reddit content with local AI tools, automated agents, and news aggregators. It reflects a broader industry trend of platforms locking down their data and restricting open syndication protocols. Users who rely on RSS feeds to automatically fetch, summarize, and query Reddit posts using local AI models will need to find alternative migration paths. Automated agents are increasingly unable to fetch relevant information from the platform due to these tightening access barriers.
