RayNeo Launches Lightweight iO AI Smart Glasses

RayNeo has officially launched the RayNeo iO AI Glasses, designed to integrate AI into daily vision and actions. The smart glasses feature an ultra-lightweight 34-gram design and a premium, minimalist aesthetic. By shrinking the optical engine and waveguide to near-invisible sizes, RayNeo addresses the bulky, awkward design of traditional smart glasses, making AI wearables more socially acceptable and comfortable for all-day wear. The glasses utilize the Nano optical engine (0.085 cm³) and a 0.6mm-thin waveguide weighing just 3 grams, achieving up to 98% transparency in non-display areas. Interaction is managed via a "Smart Crown" dial on the right temple and head gestures, supported by a 2000 mAh charging case that provides five full charges.

## BACKGROUND

Smart glasses typically overlay digital information onto the user's real-world view using optical waveguides and micro-displays. Historically, these devices have struggled with consumer adoption due to heavy frames, short battery life, and conspicuous designs that look unnatural. RayNeo, a subsidiary of TCL, specializes in consumer augmented reality (AR) and smart glasses technology.
