Rayneo Launches iO AI Glasses with DeepSeek Integration and Lightweight Design

Rayneo has launched the iO AI smart glasses in China, featuring a lightweight 34g design, real-time prompting, and a starting price of 2,349 RMB. The glasses integrate DeepSeek and Qwen large language models to support real-time Q&A, translation, and teleprompter functions. This release represents the growing trend of integrating advanced Chinese AI models like DeepSeek and Qwen directly into lightweight consumer hardware. By keeping the weight close to traditional eyewear, it lowers the barrier to daily adoption of AI-assisted wearables. The glasses utilize a "Blue Lake" optical waveguide with over 93% transmittance in the grating area, an 1800-nit brightness, and support prescription lenses from 0 to 1000 degrees. It also features a physical smart interaction knob on the right temple and supports translation across 55 languages and 109 accents.

## BACKGROUND

Rayneo, a brand incubated by TCL, specializes in augmented reality (AR) and smart glasses. Modern AI glasses aim to blend optical displays, like waveguides, with generative AI assistants to provide hands-free information overlays without the bulk of traditional VR headsets.
