Qiyuan Robot Partners with World of Warcraft to Launch Custom Murloc Q1 Robot
During the ChinaJoy 2026 event, Qiyuan Robot, a consumer-grade embodied AI brand under Swancor New Materials, announced a collaboration with Blizzard's World of Warcraft to launch a limited-edition 'Murloc' customized version of its Q1 robot. The customized robot interacted with cosplayers and visited various exhibition booths during the event. This partnership represents a creative marketing crossover between the robotics industry and gaming culture, aiming to bring embodied AI technology closer to mainstream consumer audiences. It showcases how modular, open-source consumer robots can be easily customized for entertainment and promotional purposes. The Qiyuan Q1 is a compact robot standing 80-88 cm tall with 22 degrees of freedom, capable of switching between wheeled-legged, humanoid, and quadrupedal modes. The Murloc customized version leverages the Q1's modular design and open-source hardware and software capabilities.
## BACKGROUND
Qiyuan Q1 was unveiled in late 2025 by Peng Zhihui (known online as 'Zhihui Jun'), a co-founder of Agibot and chairman of Swancor New Materials. Embodied AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that interact physically with their environments, combining perception, action, and cognition through a physical robotic body.
