Peladn Launches YO2 Mini Workstation Powered by AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495
Peladn has opened pre-orders for its flagship YO2 mini workstation in China, priced at 49,999 RMB (around $7,000 USD). The compact system features AMD's 16-core Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor, 192GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM, and a 2TB SSD. By allowing up to 160GB of unified RAM to be dynamically allocated as VRAM, this workstation enables running ultra-large AI models locally without enterprise-grade dedicated GPUs. Users can also daisy-chain up to four units together to achieve a combined 640GB of VRAM for heavy AI workloads. The Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 relies on Zen 5 architecture, integrates Radeon 8065S graphics, and delivers up to 131 TOPS of total AI performance (55 TOPS from NPU). Dynamic power consumption can be adjusted across 55W, 85W, and 120W modes, and the unit includes dual USB4 40Gbps ports, dual 2.5G LAN ports, and Wi-Fi 7.
## BACKGROUND
AMD's high-end APU architectures (such as Gorgon Halo / Strix Halo) leverage unified memory shared between the CPU cores and powerful integrated graphics. Unified memory allows small-form-factor PCs to access massive amounts of memory for AI LLM inference at a significantly lower cost and power budget than traditional multi-GPU server rigs.
