Overseas Enterprise SSD Revenue Doubles QoQ in Q2 2026 Driven by AI Demand

According to market research firm TrendForce, enterprise solid-state drive (eSSD) revenue across the top five overseas NAND manufacturers reached $37.5886 billion in Q2 2026, representing a quarter-over-quarter surge of 103.6%. This dramatic growth reflects the accelerating hardware demand driven by AI data center expansions, expanding agentic AI services, and large-scale shipments of Nvidia GB-series server racks. Micron expanded its eSSD market share quarter-over-quarter due to significantly increased shipments of high-capacity drives utilizing its 232-layer (G8) QLC NAND technology, whereas SK Hynix experienced a market share decline.

## BACKGROUND

Enterprise SSDs (eSSDs) are storage drives designed for heavy data center workloads that demand superior reliability, high throughput, and low latency compared to consumer SSDs. Quad-Level Cell (QLC) NAND flash stores four bits of data per memory cell, enabling higher storage density and better cost efficiency for data-intensive storage applications.
