OrangePi Teases OrangePi Zero 4 SBC with Allwinner A733 Processor

OrangePi has announced the upcoming OrangePi Zero 4, a compact 50x55mm single-board computer powered by the Allwinner A733 processor. The new board integrates a 3TOPS NPU and maintains the same form factor as the previous OrangePi Zero 3. The inclusion of a 3TOPS NPU and Cortex-A76/A55 cores in a tiny form factor makes it a powerful option for budget-friendly edge AI and IoT applications. It offers a significant performance upgrade for developers looking to deploy machine vision and smart gateways without increasing device size. The board supports LPDDR4/LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.0/eMMC storage, Wi-Fi 6, and features dual MIPI CSI camera interfaces alongside a PCIe x1 FPC slot. It also includes an Alibaba XuanTie E902 RISC-V coprocessor to assist with low-power tasks.

## BACKGROUND

Single-board computers (SBCs) like the OrangePi series are complete computers built on a single circuit board, widely used for prototyping, education, and embedded systems. The Allwinner A733 is a 12nm System-on-Chip (SoC) designed to offer modern ARM cores and AI acceleration for budget hardware. The XuanTie E902 is an open-source RISC-V microcontroller core developed by Alibaba's T-Head division, optimized for ultra-low-power IoT applications.
