OpenAI Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Security Firm Trail of Bits

OpenAI is reportedly in preliminary discussions to acquire Trail of Bits, a prominent U.S.-based cybersecurity and software auditing firm. The potential acquisition aims to expand OpenAI's professional cybersecurity capabilities and assist in mitigating complex AI risks. As large language models and autonomous AI agents become deeply embedded into critical infrastructure, robust software and system security has become an urgent industry priority. Integrating Trail of Bits' cross-domain security expertise will help OpenAI secure its platforms and address growing enterprise security demands.
