Omron to Acquire Industrial PC Maker OnLogic for $675 Million
Japanese industrial automation giant Omron has announced plans to acquire US industrial PC manufacturer OnLogic and its parent company Interlogic in an all-cash deal valued at $675 million. Following the acquisition, OnLogic will continue to operate as an independent business unit within the Omron Group while retaining its existing management team and brand. This acquisition is a strategic move by Omron to accelerate its transition toward manufacturing digitization and the development of next-generation physical AI platforms. By combining OnLogic's industrial computing hardware with Omron's high-precision control technology, the companies aim to expand their market presence and deliver advanced automation solutions. The transaction will be structured through a 'reverse triangular merger' where Omron will establish a special purpose company in the US to merge with Interlogic, making Interlogic a direct wholly-owned subsidiary of Omron. OnLogic's CEO Sean Larkin and his management team are expected to stay on post-acquisition.
