NVIDIA Unveils RTX PRO 5500 Workstation GPU with 84GB GDDR7 Memory

NVIDIA has listed the Blackwell-based RTX PRO 5500 workstation graphics card on its official website. The GPU features 21,760 CUDA cores paired with 84GB of ECC-supported GDDR7 VRAM for compute-heavy applications. The massive 84GB memory capacity enables enterprise teams to run larger generative AI models, complex physics simulations, and heavy rendering workloads directly on workstation nodes. It lowers the barrier for deploying autonomous agentic AI and high-end graphics workflows without requiring full-scale data center GPU infrastructure. The graphics card utilizes a 448-bit bus width reaching 1,398 GB/s of bandwidth at 25 Gbps memory speeds, with power draw reaching up to 600W under active air or liquid cooling. It also provides 3 NVENC and 3 NVDEC media engines alongside up to 4 DisplayPort 2.1b outputs optimized for rack-mounted deployments.
