Nvidia Pledges Additional $2 Billion to Accelerate European AI Adoption
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced an additional $2 billion investment in Europe during his tour, building upon $8 billion invested over the past year and funding four local startups: Doctolib, Genesis AI, Pigment, and Entalpic. This investment strengthens Nvidia's foothold in Europe amid mounting regulatory hurdles and environmental scrutiny regarding data centers, while championing open-source models to counter dominance by a few tech giants. During the tour, Huang met with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss AI safety and open-source software, noting that French AI leader Mistral AI utilized 4,000 Grace Blackwell chips to train its latest model.
## BACKGROUND
