Nvidia, Naver, and Brookfield Partner in $1B AI Compute Factory Expansion

Nvidia has partnered with South Korean internet giant Naver and Brookfield Asset Management in a $1 billion investment deal to expand an NVIDIA DSX AI factory to 200 megawatts. The funding support could scale up to $9 billion to build infrastructure utilizing Nvidia's latest Blackwell and Vera Rubin platforms. This massive infrastructure expansion will provide critical AI computing power to startups in South Korea and the US, accelerating the development of next-generation large language models and AI agents. It also marks a significant step in Naver's long-term goal to scale its Nvidia-powered infrastructure to 1 gigawatt. The expanded facility will leverage Nvidia's Vera Rubin and Blackwell architectures, and Naver plans to launch an AI Agent platform in the second half of the year built on the NVIDIA NeMo Agent Toolkit. Brookfield, which manages $12 billion in Korean assets, will provide financial backing for the project.
