NVIDIA Announces DSX POD Modular AI Factory Reference Design for Vera Rubin

NVIDIA announced the DSX POD modular AI factory reference design tailored for the Vera Rubin platform. Scheduled for global delivery in early 2027 by partners, the system pre-integrates infrastructure to reduce deployment times to as short as 14 days. By shifting complex installation and verification processes to the factory, DSX POD drastically cuts AI infrastructure deployment from six months to 14 days. This allows data center operators to deploy production workloads and generate revenue significantly faster. The reference design packages computing, networking, cabling, rack power, and liquid cooling inside modular containers that are fully validated before shipping. Major partners such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Foxconn will manufacture and deliver these units starting in early 2027.

## BACKGROUND

The Vera Rubin platform is NVIDIA's next-generation architecture following Blackwell, leveraging advanced GPU and CPU designs alongside NVLink 6 connectivity to deliver a generational leap in AI performance. Pre-packaged modular systems like DSX POD aim to solve the immense logistical and engineering challenges typically involved in constructing modern, high-density AI data centers.
