Nubia Unveils Supply Chain Partners for NaviX Ultra AI Agent Smartphone

Nubia has announced its hardware supply chain partners for the upcoming NaviX Ultra AI agent smartphone launching in September, including Qualcomm, BOE, Samsung Semiconductor, Goodix, and ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT). The phone will feature ByteDance's Doubao AI Assistant and marks the debut of CXMT's domestic 10,667Mbps LPDDR5X memory in a mass-production smartphone. Beyond hardware specifications, the launch highlights China's growing semiconductor independence as domestic supplier CXMT enters high-end mobile DRAM production. It also demonstrates how smartphone manufacturers are redesigning hardware and OS interactions around autonomous AI agents rather than traditional app navigation. The NaviX Ultra is expected to pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 chip, a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a dedicated orange AI button, and a triple 50MP camera system. Rather than using screen-reading and simulated user clicks (GUI automation) to control third-party apps, the system relies on direct collaboration protocols with super-apps.

## BACKGROUND

An AI agent smartphone refers to a device designed to perform multi-step tasks autonomously on behalf of the user, shifting interaction from manual app clicking to intent-based actions. ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) is China's leading DRAM integrated device manufacturer, aiming to supply advanced memory solutions to lessen reliance on overseas chipmakers.
