Nubia Teases NaviX Ultra Featuring CXMT 10667Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and AI Agent
Nubia and ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) revealed that the upcoming NaviX Ultra smartphone will feature mass-produced 10667Mbps LPDDR5X RAM alongside ByteDance's Doubao AI assistant. Co-developed with ByteDance, the device is marketed as the world's first "AI agent phone" designed to execute multi-step tasks locally using on-device AI. This launch marks the first commercial application of domestic Chinese 10667Mbps LPDDR5X DRAM, bringing local semiconductor performance to parity with top global manufacturers. It also highlights a broader industry shift toward AI-first smartphones that autonomously coordinate apps and workflows rather than relying on manual app navigation. The CXMT LPDDR5X memory offers die capacities up to 16Gb, delivering a 25% bandwidth increase over standard 8533Mbps versions and 30% lower power consumption than LPDDR5. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and a 7100mAh battery, the device processes all core LLM operations locally on-device without uploading user data to the cloud.
## BACKGROUND
LPDDR5X is an advanced low-power DRAM standard designed to deliver high data transfer rates and improved power efficiency for modern smartphones and mobile edge AI processing. AI agent phones represent a new class of mobile devices that shift from traditional app-centric grids to task-oriented systems where autonomous AI agents carry out complex multi-step actions on behalf of the user.
